This writing project has been years in the making when I began writing the daily devotional “Really Good Day.” The catalyst for it was my own awareness and personal need to start each morning with a positive affirmation from God’s Word before I got “busy” with the other activities of the day.
Before long, I knew I had tapped into something special: a daily habit that began every day, just like this: “You know it’s going to be a really good day when you realize . . .” As each devotional was written I began to realize the need to make it more practical for my readers. Then, came the Corona Virus (Covid-19) in the first few months of 2020 that shook the world of many who were searching for answers on not only how to survive uncertain times but to thrive in them instead.
Thus, the book you are holding on your lap or viewing it on your smart device has become my contribution to the next “How To” collection of world literature: How To Have A Really Good Day With The GOS-PILL During Times Of Crisis. My hope and prayer for you is that you will be encouraged by what you read, and every day will be a really good day for you.

From where we sit it’s hard to comprehend why a life that has so much value has been taken away much too quickly. William (Bill) Norwood Wheeler was a gifted counselor, husband, father, and a friend to many. I never had the opportunity to meet Bill on this side, but I’m sure we would have been like-minded brothers and dear friends. So, I dedicate this book to my brother and friend Bill and to his devoted wife Leigh Ann and his three children—John, Jennifer, and David.
'As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.' ~ 2 Timothy 4:6-8
